Many of the good old gospel songs which have come down through generations are presented as Stained Glass Bluegrass Music
Stained glass, bluegrass music is what you’ll hear when you see The Sandspur Band perform. The seven-member band from Gulf Shores United Methodist Church formed seven years ago for the purpose of bringing Christian music to their sick and homebound church members. Even though they bill themselves as a bluegrass group, they also include gospel, spiritual and folk music in their repertoire. The band is best appreciated for their tight harmony vocals; come see and listen. They love to play and sing and know that you will enjoy their program. Band members are:
Mel Middlebrooks, 12-string guitar and vocals; Clarence Bauer, banjolele and vocals; George Hasenbein, autoharp, spoons and vocals; Larry Davis, harmonica; Susie Davis, vocals; Neil Wade, bass; and Audrey Hasenbein, vocals.
