A tale told in folk noir style, with melodic vocals and the feel of the west coast sea. A story inspired by one of New Zealands first pioneer women and her dialoge with History. History has been sent to track Susannahs 'ordinary' life and is irritated with the lack of battles and adventure in the lonely west coast town of Karamea. Susannah suggests, however, that maybe it is those who are overlooked by History who are really 'the Brave'.
Jordan Reyne is an experimental musician from New Zealand, who operates across the electronic, folk, and industrial musical genres. She combines vocal melody with narrative and urban \\\"found sound\\\" to do what she describes as \\\"recreating the sonic context of narrative characters\\\".
She has been nominated three times for a New Zealand Music Award, commended at the Sounz Contemporary awards, and has released five CDs with the assistance of Creative New Zealand (the New Zealand arts council). Her latest release was commissioned by D.O.C and the Arts council and traces a dialogue between History and one of New Zealands first pioneers - Susannah Hawes.
