Cormorant’s Fancy has established themselves as one of the finest Irish bands in central Pennsylvania. They play traditional and contemporary music and expanded their repertoire to include music of Scotland and other Celtic nations.
They have performed as the house band for The Historic Fairfield Inn for six years The band has played at numerous pubs, festivals, concerts, and private parties and weddings
The band is Dan Diviney on bodhrán, pennywhistles and low whistles, Andy Rosenfeld on bones and bodhrán, Stephen Folkemer on concertina, Beth Folkemer on guitar, Joel Folkemer on bass and bodhrán, and Margaret “Meg” Folkemer on pennywhistles. All band members are showcased as vocalists in various songs.
Their first CD, “An Evening at The Fairfield Inn” was released on St. Patrick’s Day 2006, and sold out within 4 months. There second CD, “Here & There” was released July 2009. The band has been featured in a cable television advertisement aired throughout the eastern coastal states. They provided the soundtrack for a documentary on The History of Adams County.
Cormorant’s Fancy’s music has received air time on Midwest Irish Radio near Galway, Ireland, and Radio Jade in Germany.
